Stephanie Lizza
Director of Community Engagement & Legislative Affairs
Stephanie Lizza is the Director of Community Engagement & Legislative Affairs at EvergreenHealth, where she serves as the external liaison on behalf of EvergreenHealth with community-based organizations, chambers of commerce, elected officials, and neighbors. She oversees the hospital’s Community Health Education and Childbirth and Early Parenting programs along with EvergreenHealth’s levy-funded programs, which are part of Evergreen’s commitment to the community as a Public Hospital District.
Prior to her current role at EvergreenHealth, Stephanie lived and worked in New York City for 9 years, most recently at New York-Presbyterian, where she was the Manager of Community Affairs for two of the health system’s hospitals. She also worked at the New York City Department of Health overseeing a public health grant program focused on primary care innovation. She is experienced in government and community affairs with expertise in managing high-level strategic partnerships, community investments, and cultivating relationships with local leaders.
Stephanie studied at Virginia Tech, where she earned a B.A. in International Studies and an M.A. in Public and International Affairs. She lives with her wife, Ava, and 4-month-old son, Teddy in Seattle’s Central District. In her free time, she enjoys travelling, exploring the many hiking trails in the Puget Sound, cooking, reading, and spending time with her family and friends.
