Ryan Baumgartner

Director of Research, SCS

Ryan Baumgartner is Director of Research at SCS. Ryan brings vast knowledge and understanding of innovative analytical tools for investment decision making and design. He does this deep research for SCS to benefit individual investors and corporate clients. Ryan focuses on asset allocation, strategic investment strategy and rigorous investment manager selection and evaluation.

Ryan was awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation in 2016 signifying a specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. He holds a Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) and is a licensed insurance producer in Washington. He holds a BS in Political Science from Western Washington University.

Ryan is also a founding member of the Board of Directors for OneRedmond, an active collaborative private/public partnership for economic and community development and has served in both Executive At-Large and Treasury positions for that firm. Ryan was formerly an Executive Level Board member of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce and still works hard to find time to volunteer with important community organizations such as Hopelink and the Eastlake Little League.  He is also a passionate supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Redmond and Sammamish. He is often found coaching his children’s sports teams and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks as a season ticket holder.
