Ryan Baumgartner is Chief Investment Officer and Partner of Cashman Consulting an independent financial consulting and wealth management practice in Redmond, Washington. Ryan is responsible for leading the firm’s extensive investment research efforts, including asset allocation, investment strategy, plan manager and financial vehicle search and selection, and ongoing manager choice and evaluation. He is also accountable for investment program development, financial plan reporting and detailed quarterly/annual client review deliverables.
Before 2009, Ryan was a founding member of a commercial and residential lending firm which grew to be recognized as “Best of Business” in Bellevue, WA. Ryan also brings business learning from the Enterprise Software industry where he delivered complex software applications to Fortune 1000 clients. These experiences have provided him deep understanding and active connections into the high-tech businesses of all sizes.
Ryan was awarded the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation in 2016 signifying a specialized knowledge of fiduciary responsibility and the ability to implement policies and procedures that meet a defined standard of care. He holds a Series 6 (Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative), Series 63 (Uniform Securities Agent State Law Exam) and is a licensed insurance producer in Washington. Ryan serves as a strategic consultant to the team at Cashman Consulting providing a broad understanding of financial services and offerings to the Cashman Consulting business and individual client investment strategy. He holds a BS in Political Science from Western Washington University.
Ryan is also a founding member of the Board of Directors for OneRedmond, an active collaborative private/public partnership for economic and community development and has served in both Executive At-Large and Treasury positions for that firm. Ryan was formerly an Executive Level Board member of the Redmond Chamber of Commerce and still works hard to find time to volunteer with important community organizations such as Hopelink and the Eastlake Little League. He is also a passionate supporter of the Boys & Girls Club of Redmond and Sammamish. He is often found coaching his children’s sports teams and cheering on the Seattle Seahawks as a season ticket holder.
