As the only public/private economic development organization in East King County, OneRedmond continually seeks data to inform programs and services to help our local businesses thrive.

Washington Interactive Network (WIN) is one of the longest running cluster economic development programs in the country. The first and only of its kind for interactive media, WIN has been the hub of industry networking and activity since 2004. WIN is a 501c3 non-profit with the purpose to promote, nurture, and grow the interactive media industry in the State of Washington.

According to the Entertainment Software Association, over 323 companies in Washington State created a $13.9B economic impact with state tax revue at over $305m. Over 28,424 total jobs are supported by this industry. These companies include hardware and software companies, support services, and more.

Redmond is the leading global satellite hub with more satellites manufactured in Redmond, Washington than any other city in the World. Redmond-based companies produce over half of the satellites in earth’s orbit. Based on current and future FCC approved satellites, Redmond companies are projected to manufacturer more than 75% of the world’s satellites in the near future.

Impact of Willows Road

OneRedmond conducted an economic impact study for the Willows Road Corridor to show the significant contribution of the companies along this corridor to the state and local economy. Traffic congestion imperils the long-term economic vitality of this Corridor making it difficult to transport goods and services but most importantly talent, the life blood of these innovative enterprises.
