Redmond Space District

More satellites are made in Redmond, WA than anywhere else in the world.

Redmond, Washington is home to one of the world’s most dynamic and innovative space clusters. Building on decades of leadership in aerospace, advanced manufacturing and technology, Redmond brings together companies advancing satellite manufacturing, propulsion, communications, ground infrastructure, software and emerging space technologies.

Redmond is the world’s leading satellite manufacturing hub, with more satellites produced here than in any other city. That leadership is part of a much broader space ecosystem connecting established global companies, innovative suppliers and emerging ventures.

Redmond’s robust and growing space sector includes Amazon Leo, Honeywell Aerospace, Kymeta, Microsoft, RBC Signals, Rocketdyne, SpaceX Starlink, Spectralux, Starcloud, Triumph and other companies helping shape the future of the global space economy.

The Redmond Space District, launched in 2023 by the City of Redmond and OneRedmond, works to support the growth of this cluster, attract new investment and companies, strengthen the talent pipeline, and connect Redmond’s space industry with the broader Washington space ecosystem.
