Workforce Development Studies

Our talented workforce is a prime reason why businesses choose East King County as a place to do business. Identifying the gaps between industry needs and education is critical to keeping our talent pipeline full and providing jobs for our local residents.

Partnership Study with Western Washington University

In 2021 and in partnership with the City of Redmond, OneRedmond worked with Western Washington University to conduct an analysis of the under and unemployment issues within the City as compared to the Puget Sound region and state. Also an analysis was made specifically on the future attrition and job functions/skill sets that will need to be filled by employers in the city in the next ten years.

TechHire Study

The City of Bellevue’s Office of Economic Development contracted with OneRedmond to develop a strategy for the City to promote non-traditional pathways for underrepresented groups to gain employment in the technology sector.

Diversity in Interactive Media

In 2017, OneRedmond and Washington Interactive Network conducted a feasibility study to evaluate the feasibility of a worker retraining program to increase diversity in the gaming and interactive media industry in Washington state. For the purpose of this study, diversity was defined as non-white and non-male.
