As the Chief Executive Officer of OneRedmond, Kristina Hudson is a hands-on leader with over 20 years of experience in economic development. She is committed to growing Redmond’s local economy by working with businesses, educational institutions, local and state government, and surrounding communities to ensure that the region remains a leader in innovation and technology. She spends most of her time out in the community meeting with world-changing local companies. She says, “Because of our talent base, Redmond is a magnet for innovative and globally-significant companies.” Hudson artfully connects these people and companies with the right resources at the right time. Her expertise is making sure Redmond businesses have what they need to grow and to expand. Hudson has received two international awards, and her work is used a model for establishing technology hubs and industry clusters around the world.
Hudson also helms the Washington Interactive Network (WIN), which she founded in 2005. As executive director of WIN, she’s helped make the region a global center for interactive media development and intellectual property creation. Crowned “Queen of Interactive Media” from the Puget Sound Business Journal, Hudson works tirelessly to promote the local industry because she wants to ensure the region holds its place as a global leader of interactive entertainment. Much of Hudson’s personal time is spent wrangling kids and discovering new adventures and activities for her family to enjoy.
