Dr. Traci Pierce
Director of College and Career Readiness, Lake Washington School District
Traci Pierce serves as Director, College and Career Readiness for Lake Washington School District, the third largest public school district in Washington State. Traci has 24 years of experience in public education, and previously served six years as superintendent for Lake Washington. She began her career as a teacher, then held a number of leadership positions including assistant principal, principal, coordinator of instructional technology, director of teaching and learning, chief schools officer, deputy superintendent, and superintendent, prior to assuming her current role.
Traci holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and teaching certificate from the University of Washington and a Master of Education degree and principal certification from City University. In 2009, she earned a Doctor of Education degree in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies and superintendent certification from the University of Washington. Her doctoral studies centered on organizational capacity building and systems-level leadership. Traci serves on the Kirkland Performance Center Board, the Sammamish Community YMCA Board, and the CWU Sammamish Advisory Council. She and her husband, Sherman, have been married 27 years.
